In this experience we will introduce you to the region’s wine, Vinho Verde. We will visit a farm in the region where we will explain the origins of the wine’s name, its history and its evolution over time accompanied by a tasting of the different wines and a regional lunch.

This was our favorite experience in Portugal! Joao was so informative, knowledgeable about the region, and friendly. We have gone on private wine tours in France and Italy and this was one of the best.

By Train
If you choose the train, come by the Douro line (S. Bento or Campanhã) to Livração. From here to Amarante you will have to make the connection by private car or taxi.
By Bus
The city of Amarante has a bus terminal and the operators are Rodonorte, Valpi, Transdev and Internorte.
By Taxi
During the day you will find taxis in the city center, especially in Largo do Conelheiro António Cândido and in Cândido do Reis Street in front of the Solar de Magalhães.
